[Emc-users] One final Q re using a dc spindle motor

2017-10-23 Thread Gene Heskett
Greetings everybody; That new card works but in all my hacking on the hal file, I seem to have lost the feedback path to getting a true signal out of the near module so the code will actually run once the spindle has been started. So, I've looked thru the wiki without much luck in finding a goo

I think that all of the big industrial automation suppliers have moved to some variant of Ethernet. Siemens has Profinet, Allen Bradley has Ethernet IP,  Allen Bradley was using Sercos and is moving away from it.   I think that is saying a lot.   I've used Siemens Ethernet solution and it is fa

Hardware for master is hard to find because you don't need it. Any normal Ethernet port works. Master is a software-only solution. You can choose a simple less redundant network topology. Double ring is used because it can tolerate failure and it's not more expensive then daisy chain. On M

I have tried different hardware for real time communication and decided for the best quality Ethercat or maybe Sercos III is the path forward. Only real real disadvantage is they both have chosen double with two rings in opposite direction which probably make twice as expensive as needed, one t

Don't forget about the alignment of the shadow mask on those color tubes! Modern TVs are essentially "unserviceable". New sets can be built faster than any repair would take. Fortunately modern sets are vastly more reliable than their predecessors. Now manufacturers have to come up with gimmicks
