I have a very very long KERNEL latency using an IBM NetVista 6792-71G
the PC have Intel 82845 845 (Brookdale) chipset, I have try with and without
rtai_smi module downloaded from http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/uploads/rtai_smi.ko
but when I run latency test and move a window the latency go up
I would think that would point towards a video problem. What kind of video
card is in the system? Onboard video that uses shared memory are a usually
a problem.
On the one computer that I have with the intel smi problem there was only an
issue every 90 or so second of a few overruns.
