were lower-tech than VR systems (candles and cheesecloth secreted in bodily
orifices, brought to 'life' by some clever manoeuvres) but it seems to me there
is a lot in common in the quest to create surrogate bodies or experiences.

devices, it will be interesting to see how that impacts the results and if
there are any correlations.

by a proficient skier who has invested huge amounts of the time
and effort. For me it was still worth it. Surely interaction and the
experience of it occurs along a gradient, its not all either slapstick or
metaphysical.
