Switching Folders

2000-12-15 Thread Michael Lach
Entourage seems pretty slow when I switch folders--there's a several second delay moving between the inbox and a folder with filed mail, and an even longer delay when switching to the calendar. Any tricks for speeding things up? -ML -- To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

I Need Help Fixing From Outlook 2000 Palm Sync

2000-12-15 Thread Michael Lach
I have 300+ entries in notes file labeled "Handheld Note" that are linked to a calendar event. These come from events on office Outlook 2000 system that have a notes field, and the linked note is a hack on Palm Desktop to maintain the data on a Mac. I'd like to write an Applescript to fix this.

abase file and 200 MB of messages. Trimming down my database is an option, but not one I'm all that excited about. From reading this list, sounds like MS knows of several bugs that slow down Entourage considerably. My vote is cast for a bug fix update soon! :) -ML -- Michael Lach Chicago Publ

Finding Old Calendar Events

2001-01-07 Thread Michael Lach
I'm trying to select all calendar events that are older than 2 years (that durn Palm Sync bug is most annoying!). When I do an advanced find, the only options I get are for or x days from now--and E'rage seems to look just to future dates. Can I search for past dates somehow? -ML -- To

Winmail.dat attachments

2001-04-26 Thread Michael Lach
A friend (who uses Windows, unfortunately) has a winmail.dat attachment to all her email that I receive via Entourage. If she sends an attachment, it's part of this file, and I can't figure out a way to decode or unpack it. Any advice? I searched www.macwindows.com to no avail. Is there

*.vcs Events from Evite

2001-06-06 Thread Michael Lach
I noticed that Evite http://www.evite.com/ allows Outlook and Lotus Notes 6 users to download events right into their PIMs. When I do this with MacIE5 on OS9, I download an evite.vcs file. Can I get Entourage to turn this into a calendar event somehow? -ML -- To unsubscribe:
