[eug-lug]Borders

2003-10-11 Thread Edward Craig
Borders Books and Music is giving 25% off all purchases to
educators. I got mine for claiming EUGLUG as an educational venture.
Being able to claim OCF vouchers helped, but slamming Microsoft helped
more, I think (the person accepting applications had recently had a very
bad time with Windows crashes).

They were being a bit lax, accepting Sunday school and such.

funny... I talked to someone that was having a bad MS day too... I was in
staples getting blanks ($9.99/50). She was complaining that she needed a new
mouse because the new mouse she got didnt work. everytime she would turn the
computer on, the mouse didnt work, but the new hardware wizard poped up, and
she couldnt click anything. she would shutdown the computer, start it up, and
repeat that same process over and over... I told her that w/linux, you dont
ever have that problem!

RE: [eug-lug]Kill Bill Rocks....

2003-10-11 Thread Jason
Hehe, perfect timing. I agree with Jamie - saw Kill
Bill last night - and it was pretty sweet. Then again,
I like violent movies and old kung fu flicks too.

Hmmm... now that would be an intersting film :) It
could have Gary
Kildore in
the Uma Thurman role, Monkey boy would definetly be
in the film too!

Speaking of monkey boy, I just got back from a showing
of 'Surplus' over at the Bijou (it's a flick on
consumer culture for a benefit for Green Anarchy), and
they had some good clips of monkey boy in it (along
with bill gates). These clips probably got the most
laughs during the whole thing (not that it was a
comedy).

Oh, and speaking of violence, anyone watching the Red
Sox game? Pedro just took down Don Zimmer . . .

Dirk,
The issue has nothing to do with RedScat, its galeon that is the issue. Im
not well versed in galeon, you may need to 'enable' java, or javascript in
galeon's config. Im sorry I dont have a step by step example of how to do
that, surely galeon has a help section (might just poke around in you galeon
settings).
