I burned some MP3s and put them on the web (my poems) but I can't get them to
play on Linux -they work on Windows. I have Xmms and Grip on Mandrake Linux.
I think the sound card is ess - but CDs
... use DrakConf to see whats installed and if
it says its working...
If you dont have any of those programs installed... used drakconf to install
them.

It does, but it's an analog signal path, and the sound card doesn't
have to have working drivers for it to function. At least, that's
true for the one sound card I've written a driver for.
