In contemplating the differences between Tesla and the lesser auto
makers, I see advertising as major.
Auto advertising is expensive and extremely pervasive. And almost
entirely pointless other than to promote brand name recognition. I see
auto ads go by on the TV and try to remember to ask
My advise has been to steer away from heavily advertised autos, as I imagine
they push the vehicles with the highest profit margin. Even in ‘group’ ads I
don’t think I ever saw a Bolt or Volt. That’s because they aren’t profit

can add a trailer to get SOlar without losing more in the trade!
Aerodynamics is funny stuff.
Using a small scale wind tunnel just triggered an idea. How hard would
it be to make a 3D printed model of your car ? (Pretty hard when you
have to consider that it's every tiny bump that makes a difference in
wind, but doable.)
Anyway, having a scale model would allow inexpensive wind tunnel

How about if he finds a plastic

I urge you to monitor Tesla developments with an eye to fitting one into
your budget. Aside from the perceived high prices, all other EVs pale
in comparison.
