We've also had problems with incoming messages from mailing lists generated
by Mailman etc. The logs of the sending server show them being delivered to
our ES 5.5 server, and message tracking indicates that they have been
delivered to the correct mailboxes. They then appear in some mailboxes
Dymo label printers (www.dymo.com) come with software that lets you print
single and multiple contact address labels straight from the Outlook client

Also look at the Sophos Mail Monitor product.
http://www.sophos.com/products/software/mailmonitor/
I use the version for SMTP with ES 5.5 and am quite pleased with it.
Configuration on this version is a little crude (edit a configuration file

Also check c:\documents and settings\username\application data\microsoft..

A few days ago an incoming message to 3 local recipients was not received in
their mailboxes. I discovered this because it was sourced from a mailing
list, and other recipients outside our organisation did receive it. A
message from the same list a couple of hours before was received correctly,
I am running ES5.5 SP4 on NT4.0 SP6.
As a result of some problems we had been having over the last week or so I
had increased the ES logging levels. The problems have now been resolved and
I have reverted to standard logging levels, but I still appear to be getting

This may not be strictly an Exchange Server question, but I am interested in
how a message can fail to be delivered and no error message is received by
the sender.
We run ES 5.5 SP4 on NT4.0 SP6. There have been no recent configuration

The only time I have experienced this situation is following a scsi disk
failure. On first reset the disk showed up as failed, a power cycle luckily
got it started. It has now been replaced.
