Hey if you change your 5.5 server domain
Hi there
One of our other divisions actually did this - they told me they used a tool
from a company called NetIQ. Don't know the exact tool they used. If you
need the exact name of the tool, email me offlist and I'll contact them to
get all the details...

this migration, is all the email on the server? Have you read what Greg
told you?

Need to know a little bit more about your intended Exchange configuration.
If this is not yet defined, here is how I would suggest doing this. First,
install your Windows 2000 server into a new domain and install AD. Next,
establish a trust relationship to your old domain. Then, install Exchange
on the soap box
I am no expert but me think you need to do a lot of planning, testing and
detailed documenting on a test environment befor you attempt this.It is
possible that you may be able to do it in a weekend ideally if you
follow Microsoft's instructions but you never know what could go
Are they also two different email domains/orgs. How many users?

Hello,
Hey if you change your 5.5 server domain membership, all the mailbox permissions will
be lost because each user's NT account has User permissions to his/her own mailbox. I
think it is a bad idea unless you are a masochist.
