But seriously have a look at the new HDS 9570V it will probably do what
you want at a lower price than the 9900V. Not heard many good things
about IBM sharks.

I have looked at all 3 articles and I think the errors I'm getting are a
symptom of a related issue.
I have noticed that if the server is restarted, the system attendant
service and dependant services do not start. They do work however, if
they are started manually. The system attendant service

There's no reason Exchange can't go on a SAN - the only issue is that, at
this point, the point in time or snapshot backups aren't supported.
Therefore, just exclude Exchange from those processes and continue using
traditional backup methods.

While I know the Compaq stuff is some of the best out there, I'd be very
interested to see if the performance issues you're seeing aren't more
directly related to poor drive/array/LUN partitioning rather than issues
with specific architecture - after all, once it leaves the HBA, FC is FC.
An aquaintance of mine is a system engineer for a company that resells the
Hitachi solution, and he speaks very, very highly of it, even in comparison
to the other vendors.

You left out what hardware is involved, but I've seen and heard of these

We have just recently migrated to Exchange 2000 and are experiencing a

Can anyone tell me whether they have successfully implemented this
approach or whether there are any known problems.
We are currently on SP3.
It's definitely related to the architecture -- SSA blows chunks. We've
had several IBM guys out here to apply their expertise (read: blindly

highway robbery!
Can you tell I hate IBM? :)

You could literally delete the priv.edb file.
That will delete all the data, and when you restart Exch, it will create a

I was curious as to how hard it is to set up Exchange for Sending and

better? Are there a lot of headaches involved?
It can be quite useful, depending on how many faxes you send and
