Is mycompany.internal.com a exchange server? Can you send SMTP mail to it? If you can send SMTP to it, put an entry in the HOSTS file or DNS server to mycompany.internal.com. Then you should be able to create a custom SMTP recipient to [EMAIL PROTECTED], then choose an alternate recipient for
