IF you want 4 CPU more or is to try some big name like Compaq (Very
expensive, but they come with a good waranty. You can have hot swap disk
etc... and now on Compaq smart start they support Linux). Most of the
board for DIY PC will be 2 CPU only, for PII/PII or P4, Alpha and now
Athlon. 4

I think you should look at http://www.cubix.com, at least to get some ideas...

You may want to boot into failsafe mode and try adjusting your settings
in the Mandrake control panel. Barring that, try downloading
Xconfigurator from rpmfind.net (you may have to use the RedHat version)
and see if that works.
Good luck!

Yeah just for some peoples clarification a hub is totally differenet than a
switch. A hub brodcast all the packets to every machine. A swich connects
directly to another socket.

Actually, a lot of it depends on the architecture...
Xeons are really only designed for 4 way SMP.. 8 and 16 way solutions are
custom designs and the cost per CPU goes way up.
Plus, the GTL bus that Xeons use can easily saturate the memory bus at the 4
way level.. All 4 CPUs have to share the
Just rename your bzimage to vmlinuz - or better yet, create a symlink called
vmlinuz and have it point to your bzImage kernel. As for initrd, look into
