And you say I don't know the facts?At least I'm not playing loose with the 
facts. I never said he acted under orders from ISIS as you are suggesting by 
posting this article. I don't think anyone has? He has been recognized as a 
*lone wolf* from the beginning but the fact that he swore allegiance to ISIS 
before his attack strongly suggests that he supports ISIS and their ideology. 
It gives them credit, especially in the Muslim world. Why would he want to give 
them credit for *Sharia justice* or an act of terrorism, if he were not 
inspired by them and be recognized as a jihadi by them?

I don't think I said he was anything other than a lone wolf either, Did I say 
he was *trained* by ISIS? I don't think so. But he sure must agree with them if 
he's going to give them the credit. However, I have read he had become 
*radicalized* by a local fellow.Just because a guy comes here from Afghanistan 
in the eighties, doesn't mean he doesn't go back and forth at some point 
between both countries. I'll stick by my sources and it didn't come from Trump. 
As far as his political views go, he seems to be all over the place. However, 
the Washington Post had reported that he has voiced support for his *Taliban 
brothers * in Waziristan on his Youtube station a few times. Because you have a 
source that says one thing doesn't disprove one thing that I've said.

Islamic State. There's nothing in the VOA story to suggest he is against the 
U.S.--in fact, at one point he tried to get U.S. officials to work with him 
against ISIS in Afghanistan.

mass killings of soldiers on both the Confederate and Yankee sides during the 
Civil War.
 

 Shootings during military operations are considered to be in a different

Newsflash, this guy is American, not an immigrant or a citizen of another 
country. His parents were from Afghanistan. He worked as a security guard for

 You know Ann, my *hate * as you call it ,doesn't go out and kill people. 
Theirs does, with religious furor.  I watched a video earlier of Imams in 
the US  challenging the idea that only a few 
Imams believe in the radical views and interpretations of the Koran, that the 
ordinary Muslim doesn't hold those views. The Imam asked his congregation to 
stand if they thought of themselves as mainstream and moderate. They did. Then 
he asked them if they believed in the punishments dictated by Mohamed in the 
Koran for adultery, which was stoning to death, the death penalty for 
homosexuality and all these various death penalties. They all stood up in 
support. Poll after poll has shown Muslims in America would prefer Sharia over 
American law any day. The video had been taken down by Youtube. I saw it on 
twitter.

Mike, it's people like yourself who will perpetuate the hate and the 
stereotyping and the persecution of many because of the actions of a few. I do 
believe I heard the LA man's name and it sounded very Anglo - I hate to

The horrendous shooting today in Orlando was shocking and tragic. However, I 
must ask what is the criteria for the term "worst mass shooting in the history 
of America"? Let's face it, there were worse mass shootings of Native Americans 
as well as mass killings of soldiers on both the Confederate and Yankee sides 
during the Civil War. For example: The Massacre at Wounded Knee and this link I

likely came here back in the early '80s fleeing the war in Afghanistan, so

Ummm, this guy's dad ran for Afghan president and currently has an internet 
show that is sympathetic to the Taliban.Certainly the last thing the country 
needs are tens of thousands or more, new Muslim Immigrants that aren't vetted 
any better than they are now. As I've said, their religious beliefs don't 
require them to respect our laws or culture. Ten more generations from now 
could see the same results.

made about a picture of the shooter with a Confederate flag and it 
has been banned in public places all over the country as a symbol of

   You want to ban the Koran from public places but what about these guys with 
murder in their hearts running around with assault weapons -- no doubt legally 
obtained. We used to have a ban on these weapons (in the Clinton 
administration) but it was allowed to expire under Bush. I am in favor of 
banning these weapons, which no one needs, once again, rather than banning 
books. 

You cannot decry Islamic-inspired terrorism and at the same time support the

I saw a video earlier today of Imams addressing a gathering of hundreds of 
moderate Muslims in the US, asking them if they were moderate, then if they 
agreed with the punishments prescribed in the Koran etc., stoning, heads cut 
off, hands cut off for Adultry, homosexuality, etc etc etc.if ordained by 
Allah. He then asked them to stand if they agreed. Nearly everyone stood. The 
video had been taken down by youtube and was only available on twitter at the 
time. The social media are taking these kinds of videos down to protect them, 
not us.
These Imams posted this to show that this is moderate Islam, not radical Islam.

[FairfieldLife] Finding Trust and a TM Legacy

Foul up, fess up, fix up. Yep, it is 'foul'. 
 

 That was a funny misprint in the article text. But can we trust the new 
ordering of TM leadership now? Is it enough to just change a horse and keep 
going without acknowledging how it has gone and clearly remediating towards a 
future?
 

 Some earnest people talk now about some 'Peace and Reconciliation' with the 
meditating community now as if it can just happen with a new old person in 
place. Acknowledgment likely will have to include action in remediation, 
Acknowledgement and remediation both at the same time to demonstrate trust. 
 

 It will be extremely important to see and hear what Dr. Hagelin first has to 
say about all of this as he returns to Fairfield and speaks to the community.  
 

 This is going to take some extraordinary leadership in TM. Decades have been 
spent separating meditators from the TM movement. The communal question being 
asked in the meditating community right back which I hear in asking for 
people's reaction to Bevan's being relieved of command is, whether Hagelin can 
be trusted(?).
 

 As this NPRadio article points out by this other scandal in example, in the 
meditating community a lot is 'known'.  As the article points out it will 
likely take direct acknowledgment and active remediation at the same time to 
more directly prove trust so as to get beyond and move past all the scandal in 
this community. This will take some doing and more than just some apology. As 
the article says and the corporate examples further below do show in this 
thread: in a corporate foul up ..fess up, fix up. That becomes the job of 
leadership.
 

 Examples do show that it may take an activated third-generation to really do 
the correction necessary to set things right within TM and then be able to 
invite and to have meditators come back. Some of our third-generation 
meditators have recently been extremely helpful inside to having moved this 
recent change in TM leadership this far.

 I find that I place them all in to a scaled Cartesian coordinate graph with 
abiding-awakening running from the awakened-quietist up to awakened-pietist on 
the vertical axis as type by transformation, and then on the horizontal axis, 
the modality and/or a scale of organization or satsang around them. -Buck

 

 

 What becomes more unique and compelling about Batgap is [Rick's] being able to 
find and give voice to the abiding-awakened who are not necessarily well known, 
who are not professional or who have no organization around them.

 

 Fleetwood writes: Yes, that is the purported intent of Rick's site. It started 
out that way, but now has attracted all the people who make a living doing this 
stuff.

 

 Rick usually draws out of the Batgap interviewees whether they have an 
abiding-awakening or not going on at face value. Like in a recent interview 
Rick had with someone who was a professional talker having written a slew of 
books on the divine feminine was pretty clearly not someone on the 
abiding-awakened list. It was an interesting talk and she clearly was practiced 
as a presenter talking about spiritual stuff who has had some peak or 
transcendent experience in her own past.

about by being interviewed on Batgap. So given that you are already looking to 
interview abiding-awakened people having Quietism or 'abiding-awakened' as a 
broad category of awakened is already assumed about the Batgap interviews. But 
then for the interviewees who are not spiritually awakened in abiding 
experience then having an area for speculators, scholars, writers and 
journalists mostly just talking about awakening separately from the established 
abiding-awakened would be fair warning. Beyond that it all becomes murky as 
like the Batgap categorical list is already become. Have your person doing the 
categorical index start over and straighten out what is going on. It is become 
an embarrassing mess that is dilute and less than useful,

 For some their placement and livelihood in this all is quite important.
 

 In a range and distribution of spiritual folks it would seem that some can 
become 'gurus' by virtue of just scholarship alone without even much abiding 
experience. Others by virtue of ability to teach and talk spiritual technique, 
or others with having an abiding spiritual transformational effect for others 
by spiritual field affect. Sat-gurus it would seems would be good at 
combinations in all three: 1)scholarly, 2)knowledgable and good with 
techniques, and 3) with field effect of spiritual healing and help in Being.

 
 Evident in a spectrum of spiritual practitioners : -Meditation teachers, 
-Subtle system teachers, -Ritam Bhara Pragya people; as analogous to the old 
Western demarcations, 'Quietism', 'Piety' and 'Inspiration' in typology: In 
making a range and distribution of illumined Batgap interviewees by type, just 
throwing these Batgap illumined people interviewed thus far on a scatter graph 
by their abiding experience and their spiritual affect on others, it seems some 
of the awakened are more proactive in affect as awakened practitioners or 
teachers, long time practiced at helping others spiritually or transformational 
for others also just by being of their field effect of presence lending 
spiritual coherence. Some of these are teachers in nature, while some may glow 
in the closet and watch.  And then comes along their degree of altruistic 
organization.. 
 More in line with a western scholarly discernment of spirituality and 
spiritual [the illumined/awakened] teachers, could be a spectrum of 
practitioners : -Meditation teachers, -Subtle
