I'll let you in on a secret: Trump really doesn't want to be President. It is
too nuanced a position for a coarse and simple-minded person like him, and he
is both lost and frustrated attempting it. So he is self-sabotaging his chances
at every turn. He will lose spectacularly.

It would be very gracious, once Hillary wins, to offer The Donald the
position of chief groundskeeper at the White House, picking up after the
Presidential pooch and trimming the hedges. Perhaps he could design a mini-golf
course for them too. He would still be allowed to wear his little cap, silently
proclaiming, "make America great again", while mowing the lawn. :-)

It will just look that way right up to the election (due to the magnifying
effect of any right wing media shills). However, it will be a complete rout
once the results come in. Doesn't really matter what percentage of the
electorate decides to participate, won't affect the outcome a bit. Count on it.

Trump will get stomped so badly in the general election, it will be a miracle

Just for the record (from the linked article):

Other progressive policies were adopted piecemeal, such as the $15 minimum
wage, which the committee accepted but without the amendment put forth by
Ellison that would have indexed the wage to inflation.

The panel did vote unanimously to back a proposal to abolish the death penalty
and adopted language calling for breaking up too-big-to-fail banks and enacting
a modern-day Glass-Steagall Act—measures that Sanders said he was "pleased"
about.

Oh, also, Hillary is *against* TPP, in agreement with Sanders.

Wow, incredible. Thanks for the information. In Canada there is CPP (Canada
Pension Plan) and OAP (Old Age Pension). I actually have to apply for CPP as I
turn 60 this year and OAP you can collect at 65. That is based on what you have
paid in during your working life. I am not sure about CPP. I'm also not sure if
I qualify for Social Security even though I am a US citizen. I am still working

Re "Due to a metaphysical error, I was born. How can I fight for changes to

Eduard von Hartmann [19th century] developed an extensive and unique treatment
of universal suicide. It is heavily influenced by Buddhist thought.

Hartmann posits three stages of illusion to which humanity is subject:
 (1) that “happiness is considered attainable by the individual of today in his
earthly life”—this illusion is in Hartmann’s view exhibited particularly
prominently in the ancient world and in childhood;
 (2) that “happiness is conceived attainable by the individual in a
transcendent life after death,” an illusion characteristic of the Middle Ages
and youth; and
 (3) that “happiness [is] relegated to the future of the world,” an illusion
associated with modern times and adulthood.

Hartmann opposes the suicide of the individual as selfish and ethically
reprehensible, but he argues that humanity—all humanity, everywhere—should will
its own nonexistence [think Jonestown].

He thought that the civilized world couldn't wait for aboriginal peoples to
catch up with the latest advanced thinking and so they should be exterminated.
(Been a while since I heard a German push that option.) Then we enlightened
ones will all unite to top ourselves in a final consummation.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Medical errors

2016-06-26 Thread s3raph...@yahoo.com [FairfieldLife]
Re "Due to a metaphysical error, I was born. How can I fight for changes to
prevent this happening to others?"

Eduard von Hartmann [19th century] developed an extensive and unique treatment
of universal suicide. It is heavily influenced by Buddhist thought.

Hartmann posits three stages of illusion to which humanity is subject:
 (1) that “happiness is considered attainable by the individual of today in his
earthly life”—this illusion is in Hartmann’s view exhibited particularly
prominently in the ancient world and in childhood;

ROFLMAO.  No, I don't think so.I was watching the News programs this morning,
you know, *Meet The Depressed* etc. Many are coming to the conclusion, finally,
that the Brexit vote was the people standing up to the Elite politicians of
either party and saying "Fuck you! You're not telling us what's best for us
anymore! We've seen what you've done! We're charting a new course".
Hillary is more of the same, elite politicians telling us what's good for us.
She's a power hungry liar, out to feather her own nest at everyone else's
expense, tossing crumbs out to entice idiots to follow her.Not going there.

Feste, you can reassure yourself all you want but the fact is, he's neck and

really matter what his disapproval ratings are if Hillary's aren't
significantly better. And she needs to stay out of trouble.

Hillary's best hope is that things settle down in Europe with Immigrants and
their rioting and crime and hope there aren't any Jihadi events. And that
Immigrants here keep a low profile without any further terrorist activity.
Nothing riles people up more than Mexicans waving Mexican flags here, acting as
if they have a right to be here and attacking citizens going to political
events or Muslims on Jihad.

Trump has never been "popular," as you put it. He has appealed only to a
very narrow band of voters. His disapproval ratings are now going through the
roof -- around 70% last time I looked. I think this may get even worse for him
as the campaign goes on. Did you see his idiotic comments on Brexit? He is
simply not up to the job, and almost everyone now knows it.

Judy, when I say Brexit was a *done deal*, I'm referring to the idea, that
the results of that vote fooled the pundits, all of the experts.
Almost every week since last summer, nearly every political pundit was heard
or seen saying that Trump's latest comment was the one that would finish him.
He can't *win* any longer. His political *blunders* only made him stronger and
more popular to everyone's astonishment. There was always an excuse why he
couldn't go on.

You're making the same *possible* mistake. "Oh, he only won primaries" , No
more of those, now he can't possibly win any more voters.

Well, there are about 20% of voters who haven't made up their minds yet. As
far as Republicans go, many are not enthusiastic about him, don't like him,
even hate him but... the overwhelming majority know the consequences of *not*
voting for him. *Never Hillary* will be the rallying cry.

The undecided voters are another story. Be my guest if you want to
underestimate Trump's ability to gain their support but you better hope things
in Europe get quiet. There is an anti-immigrant sentiment growing in the west.
More and more people are demanding that our borders, customs and culture be
respected and terrorism addressed effectively instead of justified.

Trump has won *primaries*, Mike. There was no Brexit primary. Winning
primaries is very different from winning a general election. Trump doesn't have
any more primaries to win. You can't say "He keeps winning" unless he wins the
general election.

Ollie's wrong to say it's a "done deal" for Hillary to win, but you're wrong
to suggest the Brexit vote tells us anything about the U.S. general election
vote.

TM is not interested in reciting virtues. However John Douglas often concludes
with this “I am..” practice in his guided CD meditations, where it becomes a
type of samyama module the way he uses it in a larger sequence.
