Check it out and leave a comment: PETITION UPDATE Please Call Alliant Energy to Opt Out . We need numbers , don't hesitate. The People of Fairfield & MUM Fairfield, IA NOV 25, 2017 — The numbers of people opting out will determine a yes or no for the entire opt out program. There have to be enough to make it worthwhile for Alliant to offer a separate system. A few important points. Call Alliant Energy at 1-800-255-4268 and give your account number. You may be able to keep the meter you now have, depending upon the age. Some agents will tell you the age, some don't have the data. There are different call centers. But please get your name and account in the system. There will likely be no contract other than an agreement that if you don't send in readings or contact Alliant for 2 months, you defer to a smart meter. But that's easily remedied. Pay ahead or call Alliant if you are going out of town. There are people in Fairifeld spreading confused and false information that the Alliant opt out is a "scam." Please don't believe this confused information. Those people have an agenda of their own, and are following an internet video which suggests not to opt out. This would have the end result of smart meters going in all over town and no opt out at all. Mayor Ed Malloy has negotiated this opt out with Alliant Energy. It's totally legitimate unless we don't have enough numbers. If we don't have enough numbers, say, under 500 customers opting out, we will likely be turned down for an opt out program by the Iowa State Utility board. So please call and join the program and tell your neighbors to do the same. An engineer may visit your house in a year or so to determine the age of your current meter. If it is replaced with a Non transmitting digital meter. That is an okay alternative. All transmitting meters bear an FCC ID on them, other wise they are just ordinary digital meters which are already all over town and campus and create no problem. Thank you for your help with getting the numbers of opt out up and cutting through the confusion.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Mars City Design Contest
SJ, Srila Prabhupada made the same argument for colonizing the Moon. So, he stated that the landing on the Moon was a hoax. For both planets, Prabhupada was and is saying that humans cannot live there. The only way to live there is to become Martians or Moon beings. In other words, he was saying to transmigrate there as one of the inhabitants there. But so far, we don't know if there are are beings made of organic matter living there. If it is not possible for humans to live there, AI robots may be able to do so since they would not need air to breath and can exist on extreme environmental factors. This same argument would hold for colonizations of exoplantes in the distant future. So, are there ETs somewhere in the universe? Maybe. But for now humans could potentially be the ETs of the future, through the development of AI robots. Perhaps, we will someday meet ETs in the future and find that they too are biots or biological robots. ---In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, wrote : no human beings will ever be able to colonize Mars. surface is too poisonous and radiation is too much. it would be sad to start destroying the ocean floor like we have the continents. the solution is to restore civilization to harmony with the earth and to be truly sustainable. the rest is all fantasies

[FairfieldLife] Mars City Design Contest
A team from MIT won the contest . The idea could be used to build a city on earth or under the ocean. My question is the protective dome in the habitat may not be tall enough to house the trees when fully grown. The astronauts may have to crop the tree tops to keep them indoors. Also, this idea may have to be adjusted to include the role of AI robots to build the city from materials in nearby asteroids. This idea could very well start a new industry here on earth to build cities on Mars. It could start a new industrial revolution for people here on earth. https://www.space.com/38881-mit-team-wins-mars-city-design-competition.html https://www.space.com/38881-mit-team-wins-mars-city-design-competition.html a
