The Chevrolet Corvair was a vehicle produced before it's time. It got a lot of bad press because of Ralph Nader's book 'Unsafe at any Speed' which was named by Human Events as one of the "Most Harmful Books of the 19th and 20th Centuries". LoL! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unsafe_at_Any_Speed "... in 1972, Texas A&M University conducted a safety commission report on the Corvair for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration; it found that the 1960--1963 Corvairs possessed no greater potential for loss of control than its contemporaries in extreme situations." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Corvair On 9/23/2013 11:01 AM, Bhairitu wrote: I used to call VW buses "bread boxes on wheels". Thanks, Xeno, it's always good to laugh in these situations. I found an owner's manual online and will try not to electrocute self (-: I got upset and hung up on Panasonic because they wanted my street address which is NOT the billing address of my credit card! Don't stand too far away in case the fuse burns out and you have to relight it. Otherwise, if the DVD is going to be overdue, take the whole unit into the library and say, 'The DVD is stuck in here. Can you help me get it out?' See what they do. There should be enough techies in FF to figure it out in any case. But suppose you were stuck on that metaphorical desert island, and there was no one to help you. How would you proceed? Doc and Xeno, thank you! I did it! And guess what the key was? A regular sized paper clip didn't work. I had to get a large paper clip to get the tray to partially open.
