P.S.: When Khomeini said "The occupation regime over Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time," there was no outcry; and Israel was at that very moment secretly shipping arms to Tehran. Hilarious. After either failing to read or failing to comprehend what I wrote, Shemp tells *me* to learn to read. Shemp, what words in "The way it was translated made it *seem* to be what he was clearly saying" do you not understand? Or did you perhaps think he was speaking English to start with? You do this to yourself *all the time*. Now look at the quote, where he refers to "the occupying regime." What words in "he was actually expressing his hope for the fall of the current Israeli government" did you not understand? The translator's bracketed interpolation "[Israel]" is not accurate. He's talking about the *government*, not the country, not the Jews. Finally, "wiped off the map," the crucial phrase that started the meme, is a mistranslation of Khomeini's metaphor; that idiom doesn't even exist in Persian. A closer translation would be "must vanish from the page of time"--very abstract, not a threat, not referring to violence, but rather to the idea that nothing--in this case, the oppression of Palestinians specifically--is permanent. Shemp, it would make sense for you to challenge what I wrote and demand that I defend it. It makes no sense at all for you to dismiss what I wrote as "falling into the abyss" *without even having read it*. We cannot compromise over the issue of Palestine. Is it possible to create a new front in the heart of an old front. This would be a defeat and whoever accepts the legitimacy of this regime [Israel] has in fact, signed the defeat of the Islamic world. The way it was translated made it *seem* to be what he was clearly saying, but according to at least one expert, he was actually expressing his hope for the fall of the current Israeli government. I wouldn't worry about any Arab aftermath. Given the mentality on the Arab street, someone firmly putting down their foot and laying out the options for them will work like a charm. What really makes this street boil is the perceived weakness of others. An exception could be the Persians (Iran), who have a different mental make-up. One of Maharishi's scapegoats for the failure of the TMO is the CIA. Arab countries scapegoats for the failures of their countries are the U.S. and Israel. [FairfieldLife] Re: 'Does Israel Want To Wipe Iran Off The Map?'
The Nobel Peace Prize 2006 to Dan Gillerman? Hearing this man explain to the world with force, patience and compassion the real situation fills stirs the hearts of the righteous with joy. When this is over, the world will thank him and his fellow compatriots for carrying the world on their shoulders in these perilious times (i.e. once and for all sorting out the mad mullahs of the Middle East and create a larger Kingdom of Israel along the 1967 6 day-war borders). When this is accomplished, Sat Yuga is here! --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, "shempmcgurk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, Robert Gimbel > wrote: > > > > The present incursion into Lebanon, makes me wonder; > > If Israel, eventually wouldn't like to see; > > The United States, get directly involved in a confrontation in > Iran. > > Since the missles being supplied are from Iran; > > And the Iranian policy is based on destruction of Israel, and > the US. > > It seems like a collision course has started; > > Between the US and the Iranians. > > R.G. > > > > > I don't think Israel will wait for the Americans. > > If the Americans and/or the Europeans won't do something -- and > fast -- the Israelis will. > > And don't rule out the use of nuclear force. The United States will still have to be very much involved; The Israelis depend on our satellites; And our delivery systems, namely the B-2 steath bomber. And also, the partriot missles, for 'incoming'. So, it will still be the United States' technology; That hopefully will win the conflict. What bother's me is the Arab aftermath; If you think they are quite insane now; What happens when the so-called moderate states; Like Jordan, and Egypt; get crazy out of hand; And what about the 600 lbs. elephant in the room: Pakastan? Not sure what would happen in the aftermath; Of a nuclear attack on Tehran, Iran, and the possible assasination; Of the Hezbollah leader, who to them is like a JFK, figure... I don't think Israel will wait for the Americans. If the Americans and/or the Europeans won't do something -- and fast -- the Israelis will. And don't rule out the use of nuclear force. Iran's leader has been clear and unambiguous: they want to wipe Israel and its Jews off the face of the Earth. Nazrullah -- Iran's puppet in Lebanon -- has taken his explicit anti-Semitic stance quite clearly: Jews are animals and all must be destroyed. We must take these people at their word. I certainly hope Israel does. And then acts upon it. > > > - > Talk is cheap. Use Yahoo! Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls.
