Got a thumbdrive at a conference with the conference proceedings on it. While
both linux and windows mount the device as a FAT filesystem and access the
files, fdisk doesn't show me the expected structure. Anyone know what is

In running the Preupgrade sequence on F9, the process was interupted.
Restarting the upgrade ran to completion and
seems to be working. Running yum to get the updates gives a message that
there were imcomplete transactions
and prompts to run

Seems that root can see the sound system. Tried adding user to all groups that
seemed to apply to sound but still do not get any sound as aregular user.

Installed F9 and there is no sound. It worked with F8.
System has a Soundmax integrated adapter that showed as snd-intel8x0 on F8. It
is not detected at all now.
Looked at modprobe.conf. I don't understand what I see.

F8, but in F9 it does not detect my card. Disabling /etc/X11/xorg.conf
