I use Fedora 11 latest updates and kernel headers updated today.
The last 2 Fedora 11 kernel updates circa (2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11.i586)
will not start Blender 2.49a on my machine.
The Blender screen flashes on for about half a second.
Starting from a terminal shows:
./blender
Compiled with
:)
For now, there's a new kernel again and I'll see how it works with
kmod-nvidia tomorrow.
Whats YMMV
My kmod-nvidia doesnt work with the new kernel

I use Amarok, Audacity, Pulseaudio regularly.
I find that Pulseaudio wants to continually send signals and have to locate the
process and kill it to stop it.
Then it behaves for a week or so.
Dont know about playing together tho!

kmod-nvidia needs such an old kernel,
particularly fc10 which is not installed.
I started F11 by installing the F11 trial from a dvd, then yum installed
everything then updated frequently.
I am out of my depth here.
What am I missing.
What do I need to do to handle this and future updates.

of Linux is that you get to install a minimalist
system. Yum update is then very fast. You then yum install tools as
needed. I wouldn't have it any other way.

remember I had problems with the 64 bit kernel and apps so installed
only 32 bit and have no problems at all -for now.
Not much help but my experience.
I enjoy the problems but sometimes am at a loss to know what to do to
fix then and this is why I thank list members, they always have helped.

Funny you mention that, Ive had the same problem Fedora 9, 10, 11 and
12 won't install to a pre partitioned hard drive that has a linux
installation on my machine. They will only install to the default.

Maybe your monitor won't do that resolution.
I found the same thing and research showed my monitor is limited to a
lower resolution, Xconfig detects it and refuses change.

Check the /boot/grub/menu.lst in the Fedora 12 on the second drive and
see if it actually points to the new drive and not the Fedora 11 drive.
I haven't succeeded in getting Fedora 12 boot to boot Fedora 11 on a

Varicad works and looks very nice, small icons, snappy
movement, very clean.
Screen resolution in both F11 and F12 is set the same.
I use Geforce 8600GT video card.
Generally everything else worked well in F12.

It is very likely a kernel change in the newer kernel is not compatible with the
sk98linux driver code that you have, the errors are consistent with a kernel
change causing the older driver to not compile.

can set each port to autoneg/100/FD, so it may be possible on
a standard router with the standard linksys router software.

those are broadcasted via
inspection, especially if there is
liquid/crusty material on the cap.Also if you have several identical ones
and some of them look different that is a bad sign.
