When I picked up Moogie (post-cremation), I know
it was hard, but the receptionist at my vet's office was so kind, it actually
helped me to be around someone who was sympathetic when I picked her up. Sure, I
cried in the office, but I don't think I could ever handle having my loved-ones
Hi everyone. Some of you may, or may not know
about my newest rescue cat, Bones. She was almost dead when some local kids
brought her to me last Wednesday night. I have nursed her out of severe
hypothermia and starvation, but I am fairly sure she has a broken back (she
still needs x-rays,
I remember one time, my boyfriend and I were
having problems, and I was packing my things to leave (it never happened, but
just the same), and I took Moogie's ashes, and I tucked them safely into my box,
and I screamed "I'm taking Moogie, and you are NOT going to stop me!". I always

I think I will put Jersey to sleep tomorrow.
It is not fair to leave an outdoor cat suffer and not be able to walk.

Jamie,
Now that's just down right weird! Long life to Apollo! I'm thrilled to
hear the life span estimation is longer than it used to be. I love
those Danes! Such gentlemen and ladies, so much better behaved than
most children.

Funny you should say that.
Jenn,
Hooray for Bones and her new family! I love her and I've never even met

Thank you. I am sorry that I have not been able to respond to any
individual posts, even (or maybe especially) about losses. I of course
feel horrible for every loss. I am just way too drained to participate or write
anything. I'm sorry.

You don't sound crazed, you sound like a wonderful
person who is full of caring. We all have regrets and have learned by our
experiences. Pets to Bones and hugs to you.

Oh Stan, what a handsome fellow your Jersey is. I'm praying you and he

Getting him to eat the baby food is good, any food is good

My mom bought a "heating pad" made especially for cats. I'm not sure
which one she got, I'll ask her. I did a quick search for heating pads
designed for cats, (to not get too hot). Here's the link:
