Tad,
I'm so sorry about Sammy. What a shock to lose him so quickly. How
old was he? Did the vet tell you there was nothing that could be done
to help him? Tell us something about Sammy. What was he like? How
did he come to be with you? Please share some of his story with us.
You are so quiet
Tad,
I'm so sorry you lost your Sammy - 18 mos is too short a time to have with our babies. Our thoughts and tears are with you.

Tad,
I've
only just realized you lost Sammy. I'm so sorry. I'm glad he found you and had
18 good months with you, with all the love and care he could have hoped
for--something that so many kitties sadly don't have.
take
care,

love and hugs

I am so happy to hear that they are both
doing good! We just have to take one day at a time right? Thats
what I do with my ginger, and all of my other cats for that matter
every day, I come home and see them, all my troubles seem to be so minimal
compared to their well-being..
Aw, Tad, you've got me bawling like a baby. It sounds like Sammy
touched everyone he came in contact with. What an amazing story. I'm
so glad he found his way to you. God bless you Tad and God bless Sammy
in his journey. I'm betting he'll stay by your side to help you with
the rescues you
That's a moving and wonderful story, Tad--it brought tears to my eyes.
Sammy must be the first cat that ever walked into a carrier--he knew he
was on his way home. Thanks for sharing the dear little furball's story.
Once again, I'm so glad he found you. Even though you only had 18 months
together,
Tad,
What a story about your Sammy and his
history. The cancer was awful, isn't amazing and scary how aggressively
fast it can grow. You are wonderful to have cared for him and your other
kitties. My sympathies to you for your loss.

Tad, I am so very sorry about Sammy
it is just so sad that it came so quickly, but at the same time, I feel
relieved in a sense that he did not have to suffer for a long time and
you two have a quality of life together until the very very end and both
of you were and still are lucky to
Tad, I am very sorry about Sammy!
I don't know who wrote the Rainbow Bridge but it isso warm...and real!

Hi, Jennifer,
What have the vets done so far in terms of effort of diagnosing what may
be wrong with him? Did they do complete blood work on him? Are the all
the organs shown as normal? How about his thyroid level? How about his
glucose level? How about his protein level???
A similar thing
Also, I did look into vets who specializing treating FeLV cats - did
call them, and talked to a couple - but one who did not want to do a
phone consultation gave me a referral in my state - I can try to find
the number of the vets who gave me a referral if you are interested -

Hi Tad,
I'm very sorry to hear about Sammy, cancer is an insideous disease,
especially SCC. Prayers for you to find the strength to heal and for
Sammy to have a speedy journey to the bridge. I have added him to the

I had Bailey and Joey tested with this special test, the lab charges
$120.00 per cat and my vet added $60.00 per cat, so I paid $180.00 per
test, I was a bit shocked but we did find out that both of them are very
low on cortisiod, and some other things. That's one of the reasons I

Bones and Iare back from the specialist
today. Bones has a "Caudal end plate fracture of L3 Vertebrae", and possible
pelvic fractures also, but the pelvic fracturesdid not show on x-ray (but
the vet says she is unusually tender in the hips, and feels "off" on palpation).
She said that
That's great news about Bones, I hope the month flies by and she
heals well without the surgery.

Many times males cats have urinary/kidney problems. My non felv+ cat died
from this. Please go to another vet. Weakness in hind legs is a very
common sympton of a few diseases. Kidney is a major one. Is your cat a
diabetic? Has it been tested foe diabetes? Neuropathy causes hind leg
Tad, I'm so sorry to hear about Sammy. I know you
did the right thing though, being without a lower jaw wouldn't be any way to
live. I'm sure Sammy is in a better place now. It's so shocking when they go so
fast like that. One day here, and gone the next, and you're left in a whirlwind
