Gloria,
I've been off-line all last week, but wanted to add my condolences
on your loss of Pansy. It's such a shock when something like this
happens - seemingly out of the blue.
Something sort of similar happened to me -only it was a week after I had
my 6 month old baby Callie (who was just
Thanks so much, Kat - it helps to know of other experiences with this
sort of thing, and that there are other possibilities for causes.

Hi Gloria,
I will be sure and add Pansy to this weeks service, I'm so sorry for
your loss of such a young one.
I do have a couple of questions that are puzzling me though. When
exactly did Pansy pass away and why didn't your vet call you to let you
know? It almost sounds like she

I'm really sorry Gloria, we trust our vets to know what they are
doing and to have our animals life in their hands, some are just not
worthy of that trust. I think there should be one person atleast in the
recovery room anytime there is a patient in there, but I know this is

IV fluids are so important during, and after surgery.
Everyone really should insist that their vets do this as a precautionary
procedure.

Oh Gloria, I'm so sorry, for Pansy and esp for you. I know how hard it
is to send any of them off for surgery. I always worry and this is
why. From the instances of this happening, it doesn't seem to matter
how old they are. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for this

Oh, my God, Gloria! I am so, so, so sorry. How scary and horrible. I'm sorry.

Gloria,I am so very, very sorry! What a terrible shock for you. We all know that there are risks with surgery, but it all seems so routine these days that you never expect anything like this. I know Pansy will wait for you with your others who have gone to the bridge.tonyaGloria Lane
Gloria,
I am so sorry to hear about Pansy! What a shock that
must have been! What did the vet say caused Pansy's
death?! I am so sorry. This is a tough way to end a
year. I will keep you in my prayers and I hope that
you continue to be comforted by the warm memories you
have of her
Gloria,
Sorry-I responded to your post before I read the rest
and see that you already explained what the vet said.
I cannot imagine getting a phone call like that. What
Nina says is right: don't second-guess yourself. You
were doing the responsible thing for Pansy, taking her
in for a routine

though. I just wanted to second that thought in case
you were feeling down on yourself.
