in the note i wrote to the nuns yesterday, i know that i suggested
they contact one of the feral groups to help.
i was incredibly saddened by some of the responses my posting the
story on the catholic questions forum, too. tho having survived 13
years of catholic schools, i'm not sure WHY
Right - one of the responses on their guestbook said it was just catholic
bashing. She doesn't own up to the nuns and fathers being human beings,
some of whom can be very cruel...
Sigh again.

Nuns areJUST people. You have those that absolutely adore animals, like Sister Francis here in Havre de Grace that feeds all the stray animals in town, out of her own pocket...not easy for someone who has taken a vow of poverty, and Sister Freda who had her own cocker spaniel that went with her

tamara, you are right--i have met some incredibly wonderful nuns
through the years, and the ones joining up now tend to be
awesome--however, as you implied, convents have long suffered from
definite powerlessness in their particular world, and as too often
happens EVERYWHERE, those who are
