Yes, they more than likely saw what they might have to go through with the possibility of sickness and decided they didn't want to do that. I explained
the other option is to just get an rv and take the cats WITH you -- that's the
only option I would consider :)
Hubby goes to vegas every year for 3 or 4 days, I stay home with the cats.

Thanks for the information. Guess I will be on for awhile longer. They brought Tom back in three a half hours. His wife looked it up on the internet and he said that his sister is taking chemo treatments and is not suppose to be around a leukemia cat, so he didn't want to take the risk.

I just had to add my 2 cents in on this interesting topic. If
I'm only going to be goneone day, I fill the gravity feeder so they will
have plenty, and put about 5 big mixing bowls of water throughout the house,
plus leave the faucet running a bit in the bathroom sink, so they will have

about their pets (whom they go home to visit, of course) as you are!
