Jeni,
What happened with the cat that was trapped in your wall? I was
reading some stuff in the files of my feral list and I came across this
advice for your situation. I hope you don't need it at this point.
Please give us an update.

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the encouragement, kind words and of
course advice. We are borrowing a trap from a friend, plan on trapping her
and just getting her back in the house
Jeni,You have gone through a lot to help this cat. I know I'm probably in the minority on this one, but my opinion would be to help this cat cross to the bridge. It doesn't sound like it is having a good quality of life.I had a negative feral that never let me touch her for over 10 years.

Just s further word of encouragement: our (Wini)Fred, to whom I refer as
our former quasi-feral, took months to tame down. She had been abandoned
at
a few months of age in a trailer park
Hi Jeni,
First of all, stop apologizing for your situation not being as grave as
some others on the list. Everything is relative and your problems will
certainly do! Try to calm yourself about what may or may not happen
behind that wall. You've gotten some good advice so far, and you know

Jeni,
You need to set a trap w/ food asap, while keeping the
other animals away from it, so that she will come out.
If she smells tuna, or something else, she should
come out to eat, unless she can get out of the house
some other way. Is there any way you can close that
hole up after you trap

Hey Jeni,
I trapped a Feral cat last year and we changed him to a different condo
and didn't realise he could get in the wall. I couldn't get him out
either. I put really smelly food where he could get to it and where I
could grab him and after a few times I got him out and fixed the whole.

Jeni,
I'm sorry your're having so much trouble with your little feral.
Hopefully she'll come out and figure out what a good thing she's got.

this probably won't sound helpful, but with a feral, as long as she
has access to food and water, she's probably happy and safe where she
is. remember that to her, human companionship is NOT a safe or
desirable thing--if she's ever gonna consider it so, it'll have to be
on her terms, and at her
