Sorry Sherri. You are right. It was 1 tablet (1/2 twice a day) but it was
indeed 5 mg. I was thinking ONE tablet equals 1 mg in my tiny little brain.
That is the correct dose for Prednisone. But you mention only a single dose of
the Winstrol. Is that 2 mg once per day?

Thanks Amani. Yes he is having me give the Winstrol 2mg in the morning and
the Pred 5 mg in the evening. Were you giving your cat 2 doses of the
Winstrol?

I will check with the vet next week about the dose when I see him and they
test Bogie¹s blood. Yes and the Pred. My cat was pretty high functioning to
be so sick. Eating, although less, playing and wrestling with his big
brother (A Pomeranian pup) once in awhile. Maybe that made a difference in
Amani, You mention that you had your cat on the Stanazolol and Prednisone
simultaneously . Below you mention you had him on just 1mg of the Pred. My
vet has Bogie at 5mg once a day. Does this seem in excess to you?

This vet clearly has used the Stanazolol in this situation before. I feel
lucky to have found him. Especially after reading about Amani¹s cats
response.
After Bogie¹s first dose yesterday, I actually saw her perk up a little. She
has been a good eater through all of this anyway and that didn¹t
Hi Sherri
I did get a good result quickly but it is situation where the drug is required
to turn back on the bone marrow to produce red cells, and the red cell numbers
will take a while to climb back up.
I am wondering about the dose though. I had Zander on 1 mg two times a day.
However, I
Yes - I mg 2x a day Winstrol and ½ tablet of prednisone (5mg) 2x a day.
Try the meds for a few days and see what the response is like. If necessary,
double the Winstrol for a week or two. But for now, give it a few days. When I
thought about our exchange some more, I actually thought that maybe

Amani, I talked to a vet at Cornell U at their consult services today for a
second opinion since things are not going well for Cole. He throws up almost
every night after eating just a little ( tonight he threw up just in
anticipated food-- no food-- because he is so nausea). He is going to
thank you - can never get enough of a good information - especially information

I'm so sorry that you are having such bad luck with Cole I know it's
heartbreaking. Stanazole may hold the most promise ( per Amani's
experiences) if you can get your hands on it in time I'm a little
surprised that the Cornell Vet made no mention of transfusion and
