Oh ChrisI'm so sorry to hear this!
Kaylee will be in my thoughts and prayers totally.

This isn't something to stomach very well as I know.
But there are cats/kittens that do make it through the surgery without any
complications.
Miracles do happen!
My experience with this is you become a nervous wreck over this.
Sorry for being straight forward about this.
It's not easy dealing with something of this nature.

Please read my pet memorial below my Angel Taz he had the same thing.

Well, after spending over 2 hours at the vets this morning, it turns out
that Kaylee does not have conjunctivitis, herpes or a corneal ulcer. What she

tumor and, unfortunately, the eye removed. I am very worried about this

and a good recovery.

The Angel Cats cat trees are supposed to be very good, I haven't seen them
tho.

Your kitties are giving them 2 pawsup it sounds like...:)

Foster & Smith's trees are better than Petsmart or Petco, but they keep
raising the price.

The best ones are handmade,I have found.

Maybe if I get motivated or find a spare minute I will take some photos for
you to see.

And REALLY use that photography degree that I earned... :)

I have plenty of kitty models but I am not sure they will sign the waivers
for me to send over the Internet w/o me paying them.

Wait until they findout that I used THEIR money to buy their food today.

They have their own checking account.

(What do you mean we are overdrawn?!
We still have checks left!)

  That's the problem.

You can't really order online because it's just one little guy in Houston.

He is driving the trees up (to Austin) on a truck w/a few more for some
friends.

Since he has friends in Austin, the delivery is not a big deal.

However, I do recommend frequenting the cat shows for the best, handmade
kitty stuff

I just laughed when he said he only had purple carpet left.

I had originally asked him to use Berber, because it doesn't shed
everywhere.
But it does hold cat fur like nothing you have ever seen.

He said this carpet is better than Berber.

And I have to say, I think he is right.

And folks complain that Berber is too hard to work with also.

  Where are you located, Laurie?

Last spring we had a table @ the Austin cat show as usual, and while
there, I purchased a new cat tree for a great price.

$225. sounds high, but this thing was hand made, very well hand made.

Very heavy base ( I could not even drag this thing) w/ 3 perches, 2
that were semi circle & wrapped w/ a material that prevents kitty from falling
off while slumbering.

  Like a "lip" kinda thing.

The 4 posts holding up the tree are all wrapped w/ sisal.

Anyway, I choose the black carpet w/ "faux" leopard carpet (had no
idea THAT idea could be found) that wrap the perches.

  Kitties LOVE it.

They LOVE it s much, they found the man's business card in my
wallet and ordered 2 more.

Only he is out of black carpet so what does he use instead?

  Purple

Royal purple w/ leopard fur trim..

Just like a cat to pick THAT combination...

I am going to have to watch their spending habits more closely

Would it for sure be on the label?

Is it very common?

So cute

Well, we took the new kitty to the vet, and she tested negative! hurrah!
Hopefully it's not a false one Aside from some ear mites and fleas, she
seems pretty healthy. The vet estimated that she was about 3 months. She
weighs less than 3 pounds. So tiny!

I think we're going to call her Clementine. She's tiny and orange, and it
fits
in with the plant motif I've already got going (Juniper, Kudzu, and poor
Olive). I suppose her nickname will just be Tiny. Because she is, and all...
haha.
