Hi -- I'm new to the group and hope I'm not breaking any rules. This is my first experience with an FeLV+ cat who is also FIV+. There is this beautiful orange and white Garfield Maine Coone that needs a home. Rescued off the streets of Long Island just before the cold snap, I initially had a
Thanks Gloria -- I too thought it was more of a problem for the FIV+ kitties. She seems to think that it would be a problem for the FeLV+ s but I guess it's all a matter of how you look at it. Mixing another virus into the equation is always risky. Thanks for the info. PAT[EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:

So, as I see it, the FIV+ is more likely to contract the FeLV virus than the other way around, I would guess. That's how I see it and it's very unlikely the FeLV contracts the FIV unless you have a very unhappy household. Thanks. PAT[EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: 1) I'm so sorry to hear of Callie

I like L-Lysine. You can administer it by mixing it in food. It comes in capsules which you can open and mix. I would say 500 mg. of L-Lysine once a day.I had bought some in free form and it was more granular than powder which they don't like so be careful if you findin freeform that it is
