I'm so glad to hear Whitey seems better today. It's such a shame, esp
after you had such uneasy feelings about getting him neutered in the
first place. I wouldn't be so concerned about getting the pain med into
him, you don't know for sure that it didn't contribute to his nausea.
I'm betting
Poor baby - I'm so glad he is able to eat some and that the ice helps. I
hope he's feeling much better today.

Maybe it's a reaction to the type of pain meds he was given and now
he'll be okay. That's what I'm praying for. What are you feeding him?
Could you try just some semi-raw/raw chicken breast diced up in tiny
bits? If it does have to do with stress then it's good he's back home
with you.

I saw his pictures and I've been thinking of him. I'm sorry he is in pain.
I can't really offer advice as the clinic where I get my guys spayed and
neutered gives a pain shot. I've never had anyone have adverse reactions to
it and I don't have to administer additional pain meds.

Well, he came home at around 6PM, and it's now almost 9:30PM, and he's eaten
two batches of food, the first one was about two tablespoons, with about 8
kibbles of dry mixed in at around 7pm, and at 9pm I had to give him half a
pill, and I hid it in a tablespoon of wet food, and he gobbled that righ
The fact that he wants to eat means that his pain is not that bad. When they
are in a lot of pain they do not want to eat. So I think you are right to
hold off on the pain meds, and just see how he does. People, cats included,
can have strange reactions to anesthesia. My mom has had a lot of

I'm sorry to hear that Whitey is feeling bad after his surgery. As
with other recent ill list-cats, he will be in my prayers. I hope
he's better enough to have a fine holiday. Bless you and all of your
