The rescue where I volunteer recently took in a stray that tested positive for
leukemia. We are looking for a loving home for him. I have pictures if
anybody is interested and his information is on Facebook and on our website.
He is one handsome fella!

Amy - Leuk Positive Cat
I am still not getting emails
Best Friends just opened a new FELV+ cat house. They are in Utah.
I do have a few listed on my website, towards the bottom, no kill shelters:

Yet again, somebody has contacted me about helping out
a leukemia positive kitty. Sorry to always be
dropping these on you guys but I just got married and
then came home and adopted 2 more cats (1 FIV+ and 1
FeLV+) the next day. I'm out of room and I wanted to
write
Have you tried The best little cat house in PA?

oh, sigh.
do we (that's the collective we) have a basic primer on FeLV--about
how many cats throw it off, how vaccinated cats living with positives
stay negative, etc--that we can mail off to folks? the best friends'
article on FIV is SO clear, so simple, and has saved SO many lives
Yes, we DO need something like the FIV article at best friends. Something well
written, and with some facts and studies to back the info up. Sad thing is, no
one
has bothered doing any scientific studies on FELV, so anything we write is just
considered alternative or home remedies to the
research IS finally being done, on a limited basis, i'm
told--specifically at ucdavis, and i believe that gloria knows about
other studies.
of COURSE there's no research! when a problem is best solved by
euthanasia, where's the population to study?? and i'm not even
concerned with getting
with him!
