Could he be allergic to something "New" in the house?
I THINK I WOULD GO WITH THE HOLISTIC VET. ALL THESE TESTS AND PROCEDURES ARE
HARD ON THE BODY. FOR "JUST" A COLD, VITAMIN C, STEAM TO HELP LOOSEN THE
CONGESTION TO START WITH, WORTH A TRY UNLESS HE HAS A PROBLEM WITH VIT C.

Thanks for posting that link, Margo. I'll save it and print a copy to
take to the vet next time I have to deal with a URI. I asked about it
during Harley's hospitalization, but the vet wasn't familiar with its
use in cats, and tends to be cautious with newer things. Would have

Melissa,
I'm sorry you've been put in this position. And I'm
sorry that the mama kitty didn't make it. How

I hate it when people act non-chalantly about an

Hi Melissa,
This is one of many reasons I don't have a husband! Ha!
I'm sorry you are frustrated. I am frustrated too. I sat at my desk
and cried and cried today over a cat I couldn't help.
Are you sure it is overstepping boundaries? It is a hard decision to
make, I know.

Hi Nina, The only thing is, the vet I originally took Angel to wanted to euthanize her. I don't think he would be very helpful with finding a specialist. His thoughts were that Angel is a "spreader", so do away with the problem. It saddens me how easily they recommend euthanasia. I

Hi Karen,
Ask your vet for a referral to a board certified Internist. All vets
have specialty clinics that they send their patients to when there's a
condition that GP medicine can't deal with. There is a much better
chance that an Internist will be better educated on felv. The

You may want to talk to the vet personally instead.
The first thing I thought was the receptionist new or

use several vets all the time. I can spot the new
personnel just by the way they handle me in different
situations.
