Your right. When they drew Smokey's blood it was from
the vein in the neck and it wasn't nice to watch but
if my being in there helped him it was worth it. I
have a diabetic cat (Katie) and when she has to have
her glucose checked they use the vein in the neck.

vets I use take the cats in the back to draw blood.
They don't my dogs though. I guess dogs may handle
the situation better. Last month when Smokey had to
have blood drawn for a CBC, I asked they do it in the
exam room. I thought it might help
