If I do travel, I will drive my van and take all 7 of my babies with me. If I mve across te country, I will get a big rv and keep them with me. Sorry, I just do not trust anyone else to take good care of them like I do. If only they would realize that there is this HUGE market out there for travelers who want to travel with their pet. Why not take a couple of flights a week on major routes have a couple of planes where animals of all sizes can be kept in cabin in crates. I do, however, have to put a plug in for Continental—while I’m sure they’re not perfect, I’ve worked with a couple of shelters and we used them many times to transport animals to their adopters many miles away. The airlines just keep shooting themselves in the foot animals suffer! If only they would realize that there is this HUGE market out there for travelers who want to travel with their pet. Why not take a couple of flights a week on major routes have a couple of planes where animals of all sizes can be kept in cabin in crates. This is how we handled sending our 2 dogs and 2 cats coming back from Belgium: I went first, with the 2 cats in the hold; the next day, my husband shipped the 2 dogs, and I went to pick them up. The next day, my husband flew out...and I picked him up. It was tensions all the way.and I wasn't even aware of all the horrible things that can and do happen!
