I'm so sorry about Twinkletoes!
Such a young furbaby. :(
You are my thoughts and prayers. It is hard when you lose one that young.
I have never had to deal with this problem in all the kitties I've hadhope I don't either.

As far as food, yes, most of them are on dry. I don't like it, but I feed about 80 pounds of dry per month, and I absolutely can't afford to feed them all canned. I did the math when I put Missy on Evo and it would be $600 per month to put them all on Evo, which is really what I would like to do.
Kelly,
I'm guessing the reason rabbit and venison have worked for some people
is because of the novel protein approach. Novel, meaning a protein
source that they haven't been exposed to and therefore would probably
not have an allergic reaction to. I've fed Gypsy rabbit, (I know it
hurts),

My Stinky had that. She ate all of the time but she
just kept on losing weight. She passed away in
February. I really don't know alot about
malabsorption but poor Stinky really got so skinny.
She was a big cat until then. Sinky wasn't felv+. I
am so sorry your Twinkletoes passed away.

I am
so sorry, Kelley. That is so tough, losing your Twinkletoes at only 5 months.
I'm sorry I don't know anything about malabsorption but I'm sure others on the
list will. Please know you're in my thoughts. What is Twinkletoes' sister's
name?
hugs,
Kerry

Kelly,
I'm so sorry about your loss of Twinkletoes. Another one so young. It
just tears your heart out when they get so little time in our love and
protection. IBD kitties have problems with not absorbing nutrients in
their food. B12 shots seem to help with that. I know there are other
Hi Nina,
My vet did a fecal on her yesterday. She was neg for coccidia and parasites. (She had continuous diarrhea). He gave her albon anyway, because he hoped that she might actually have coccidia anyway and it might have been flushed out of her system due to all the diarrhea.
She was getting

Kelley, I'm so sorry Twinkletoes has left you for the
Bridge. Gentlest Bridge vibes to her, but there are so many young'uns
going there lately, she'll find lots of friends to play with. Comfort to
you, and best wishes that Rory turns out okay.

That's quite a story. That's one thing about this list, whenever I'm
feeling overwhelmed, I can be assured that there's someone out there
with even more on their plate. All of us who take in rescues know that
their chances of being healthy and strong are compromised. Thank you
for doing
