does anyone have a trick to set up a template with text on the last
page taht will work even when measures are added / deleted in the
course of making a SC? i tried by setting up a blank page at the end
of the document but when measures get added, they are added AFTER the
blank page. and
if a document is made on mac then opened in PC (or vice-versa), do
the key shortcuts to select tools work? i learned today that on pc
the tools are selected via F2-F11, but on mac is is ctl-f thoughh
ctl-'

How about a blank last measure with text attached (which you can make zero
width), and INSERTing the extra measures in front of it, rather than ADDing
measures at the end?
