Is “include in measure numbering” checked or unchecked for the pick up measure
in the Measure Attributes? If it’s unchecked, that’s probably causing the
problem. I always include all measures in numbering, but I create different
measure number regions so that the displayed numbers are correct.

I am having a strange outcome when inserting a 'D.C. al Fine' into my score.
In my score there is a pickup measure at the very beginning that I would
like the performer to repeat back to on the D.C.
When I set this up using the Repeat tool, what should I have entered in the
Target "Measure #" box

Hallo, Dennis.

It doesn't bother me enough to open up YET ANOTHER tech support case (I have
about fifty complaining about various things) but by all means make an official
complaint if you feel strongly about it. It caught me, a reasonably experienced
user, so a newbie wouldn't have a chance, i would think.

Thank you so much - just tried it and it works, (But why on earth would
the default be to not show them?
Thanks again,

Hi Lawrence,
I checked the repeats, and you were doing it right. However, the staff
attributes for the lower three staves were set to NOT display Text Repeats. I
turned them on, and all was well. On a large score, you can do this easily in
one shot with the Global Staff Attributes plugin.
When
Hi David,
Thanks for that. I also tried creating a new staff list and including all
parts but that didn't work either. For now, as an emergency measure I'm
going to have to create an expression and copy that to all parts, which
seems a bit of a fag.
Cheers,
Lawrence

Yep -- I even tried defining a different staff set and included all
staves in it and selected that for the D.C. al Fine marking and still it
only shows on the top staff for each group. So in a full orchestra
score it actually shows on many more staves than just the top two (at
least in my test
So it's not just me?

Thanks Christopher.
I've created a new, much shorter file and have exactly the same problem.
Since it seems that no-one else is finding this, I can only conclude that I
have some incorrect setting somewhere that is causing the problem.
If it's ok I'll send you the short file.
Thanks,
Lawrence
Here's more specific instructions.
On the top staff, find the left-most, bottom-most handle (bottom of the start
of the repeat.)
Right click it and select Edit Ending.
"Show on" probably says Top Staff Only. Change it to All Staves, or if you want
a Staff List, choose that instead.
Done.
If
Thanks Christopher, already tried that and it still doesn't work. The
little handle is there on all the staves but no words.
The same applies to the "Fine" mark
This is Winfin2012b and the file is a new one created yesterday

Hi folks,
I've added a DC al Fine to show in all parts but it is only showing on the
top two staves. There seems to be a placeholder (handle) on the other
parts but nothing else.
Am I doing something wrong?

Lawrence
