It did--I was able to get them both to work

Two things.
IAC bus is a system bus, meaning an open pipe is laying there, which
could cause a MIDI loop if you are not careful. DP's Interapplication
MIDI is a virtual MIDI port, which

I just tried this now, basing it on my initial setup--when I first
tried, I didnt have this:
1) in DP, I changed the inputs from IAC Driver Bus 1-8 to FInale 2008
Outputs 1-8, and setup the Interapplication Midi, With DP Input and
DP Output
