Yes -- you can import the older files into Finale 2008, then manually
load the Garritan instruments into the appropriate slots. There
should be some documentation on exactly how to do this included in
the Finale manual.

that is one of my favorites (I built one of the venerable Zuckerman kits
in 1969, but alas sold it during one of my poorer stretches). This is my

Bruce: same cost as upgrading to Finale 2008, which I steadfastly
refuse to do. So I took the plunge and ordered the competitive upgrade.

That's been my take on it. I've been using 2007 since last year's
upgrade, and have done several projects in it. My last one was very
complicated, modern notation with a 1/4 tone key signature setup.
First big problem I ran into was file corruption. And as is their

there doesn't appear to be a Notepad 08. Would one of you 08'ers put
this into XML for me?
