Hi Bob, With all your plug-ins missing in both 2008 and 2009, it sounds like the launch services database on your Mac got corrupted somehow. Rebuild it, which you can do from the Terminal or with a downloadable tool like OnyX. Hi Darcy, You can. You just have to check or uncheck fretboard for each chord. Its not global. Also, thanks for all the help you (and everyone) else have unknowingly given me. I don't write in much, but I read most of the posts. I glad there's actually something I can help with for a change. By the way, I don't see my posts come back to me from list so I'm never sure if they actually make it. Is that normal? Re: [Finale] Chords - Fretboard
I think you have to turn the chords off individually, not on as you would think, Darcy. I know I've done it, and I also remember it was a bit of a nuisance. When you get it right, the chords still show up, but they are dim and they don't print. Let me know if that works. If not, I'll go back and see how I did it. I've got to start my teaching now or I would check more thoroughly. I still am not getting my own messages back from the list. Does anyone know why that would be? [Finale] Fin 2009 versus Fin 2004
Hi folks. Is the latest incarnation of Finale easier to use than earlier versions? I have not upgraded since Finwin 2004, though I previously upgraded every time a new version came out. Are there things I'm missing in notating music and making worksheets for students? What about in preparing vocal scores [which my son does]? Thanks for your advice.
