This seems to be a fairly common problem on both platforms...I must confess to
finding it most irritating...does turning off chase slove this issue
universally? Why is chase problematic, especially when starting from the
beginning leaves nothing to chase? I am on WinFin 09B.

I charge USD$200 per hour for rush jobs. My normal per hour rate is
much lower than that. I normally charge by the page and/or frame for
Finale work.

Hi all,
I thought I’d
let you know that three new commissioned works for big band (all done in Finale
:) will be
premiered in the span of two weeks (that’s a first for me!) If you’d
like to hear any of the performances, here are the specifics:

Keep looking, John.
OK, that was snarky. Try measure 453-454 - ff. You do remember
This is a well- documented problem in WinFin as well. The solution from
MAKEMUSIC is to trash the Finale and Midi preference files.
I cannot say that this is the solution for MacFin though;-)

Hi Carl,
$1000 is a fair price, $500 a super friendly one - depending on the
length and complexity of the arrangement. These are low end quotes
and don't include a parts production/engraving fee.
Anyway, that would be my suggestion, if I understand the circumstances.

On Jan 23,
I was a member of The American Wind Symphony many years ago. One of the tunes
we did was (I thought) the original instrumentation for Newly's Broadway show,
but I am not sure. It was exciting as it was only winds and percussion. Can
anyone confirm or refute this for me?

I see the Play Only on Pass checkbox in the Playback tab of the Expression
designer, but I don't know what to set in the Type popup. I've tried
setting it to None, changing the channel to an unused one on the pass I
don't want it to play, and setting the channel pressure and key velocity to
zero.
