still have that function. We've since tested it in other applications, and it
works just fine. I'm thinking that I'll drag the keyboard from an old (bondi
blue) up there and plug it into the macbook to see if it will

Thanks. Also, ugh. The UI for the mixer is so hideous, and until 2012 its
functionality has always been duplicated by the Instrument List, so I've never
had to deal with it until now.

Problem solved. Songwriter wouldn't respond to the numlock option on this
old (2007) macbook. We just plugged a very old iMac usb keyboard into the
MacBook (2.16 Ghz from 2007) and it works fine with Songwriter. We've got the
number pad and the functionality of the curser (arrow) keys. It
