Not a question nor anything I have any hope will ever get sorted...
Why oh why can finale not try normal spellings of notes before exotic ones..?
If I have F - A - B# why can Finale not know to try F - A - C when I push '9'
rather than Gbb - G## - C ?
I change every note individually
Hi all!
I'm having another bout of trying to sort everything that niggles me in
Finale... ;-)
Any suggestions for chord symbol fonts/settings?
I'm looking for something clear to use with Maestro but with a fairly 'thick'
house style (staff lines 0.01).
Also, I always use the triangle for a
Maybe this type of topic has been up here earlier. If so it has passed by my
attention.

Hi Chuck,
Thanks, I'll look at these. Do you use them with a generally handwritten look
or with Maestro?
A PDF would be great!
Thanks!

Steve,
Look at Bill Duncan's chord fonts available from Nick Carter at NPC
Bills stuff is all done with maestro, at least that was the intention.
His fonts look great with maestro. I use the chord , over sized time
signatures and articulations fonts in all my works

Yes, it is designed to look good with Maestro (though I imagine it would work
well with other roughly similar fonts). Bill created the articulation font
symbols to include things like jazz falloffs that would look appropriate with
Maestro. He spent the better part of a day in our home (when
Thanks Eric and Chuck!
They look great - absolutely perfect answer to what I felt was lacking in my
current copying.

Chuck,
Greetings! Is it possible you could send the pdf to the group? I have wanted to
see the font in actual use and have some trouble coming up with the necessary
money to purchase. Actually seeing the fonts in action might help me settle the
matter!
Thanks,
Michael

I think they just wanted to avoid the 13 moniker.
I am not at all happy to hear they are dropping support for 10.5, but by
the time it happens I may not care as much. Whether Patterson Plugins makes
the transition, especially on the Windows side, remains to be seen.

Good. MakeMusic finally sees that they need to fix things rather than just
making everyone pay for the next version and maybe fixing stuff.
Will totally be interested in the iPad app. Hopefully it will be great. They
really need a SmartMusic iPad version…..

Between the number 13 and the Mayan Apocalypse, I thought we'd throw the
towel in this year :-).
It is coincidence however that it happened to be what would have become
the 2013 version. We won't be moving back to the yearly release cycle
even after the next major release next year.

Might not be a bad idea to reiterate (on Justin's blog comments) some of the
bug fixes and features we've been requesting. Here's a few off the top of my
head:
In JazzFont, the dot in the dotted eighth rest is too far separated from the
rest. Changing the spacing in Document Options then
They should just really buy Bill's fonts. Maestro could use his
articulations additions along with the rest of his excellent fonts
