Martin - When this happens to me, I go to Mid/Audio menu>Device Setup>Midi/Internal Speaker setup… to see that the controller is recognized. Usually it is and going through this step re-establishes the midi controller. Hope this helps. John Blane Blane Music Preparation 1649 Huntington Ln.
