i experienced the prob in docs with no libraries as well as ones
based on my template.
it seems to only happen when hitting return after the insert, not
before. which would suggest that when i move the cursor to the right
of the text insert, finale acts as if the text insert has been

open new doc from default; or create new doc with no libraries and
create a text block with Part/Score Name insert
enter Score/Part name text block either via context menu edit text
or by selecting the handle and hitting return.

There is a bug in Fin12 with respect (some) inserts. You are lucky that
Finale isn't crashing. I've seen this scenario crash Finale.
