Sorry, I never included the quoted text I was referring to: it was David H. Bailey’s first reply. Re: [Finale] erratic playback volume
I would have pointed out the same, it recurred quite often. One other issue I find recurring is that playback volume is incredibly soft if I activate it via shortcut (spacebar + click) a few measures ahead of the last articulation, which would sound notably louder if playback started from the measure in which the articulation lays. Re: [Finale] erratic playback volume
I had a lot of problem with this sort of thing when I was using Finale regularly. It had to do with the software setting the mod wheel more or less randomly, and never being reset to the zero position. I guess that is still a problem. I eventually found myself having to add hidden notes (or maybe they were expressions, I can't remember) to reset those mod wheels. It was a real pain. On 8/15/2019 5:07 PM, David H. I'm pretty sure this is Human Playback thinking it's being artistic. At least in my experience it is. If I care enough, I usually end up reminding it of the volume with an invisible dynamic mark. [Finale] erratic playback volume
Does anyone else experience very reduced playback volumes for no apparent reason? Is there a solution to the problem? Version 26 on a Mac now, but this has happened unpredictably over several versions. Usually a restart helps but hasn’t so far today. Thanks in advance for your time and help.
