Ok, so what should I do: I have Fin2k7. I am tempted to upgrade to 2k9.
Or should I crossgrade to Sibelius?

Good question, and one that only you can really answer.
What I have found in working with Sibelius5 is that it is as easy to get
data entry as
If you haven't worked with Sibelius you might consider $99 a small,
but effective investment. I did just that last year.

Sibelius 5 works the same as 4 with regard to instrument brackets; you
can place thin sub-brackets within any bracketed instrument sets.
Braces will collide with brackets so should not be used together. Fine
if thats the setup you need but if you need more flexibility or nested

But you can't further nest the sub-brackets, right. So the Rite of

I continue this thread not because I desire terribly to defend Finale,

In Finale, you can nest brackets (in my case, desk brackets)

Whoa, I just saw this, but I don't buy it. Please explain how Sib is any

I'm not buying it either. I'm not sure if Richard is aware of Finale's
mass-apply metatool approach, but it is definitely *much* faster than
any method of applying articulations in Sibelius.

It was David (me) who made that comment Robert was questioning --

Actually you can hold down a metatool and drag-enclose a whole bunch
