Hi.
I'd like to propose a policy for the case of people with commit bits
updating other people's packages.
1) Please contact the maintainer.
2) Give the maintainer a reasonable timeframe to respond. Around a
week is good, but this is negotiable. A quicker turnaround may be

Ah, you're mistaken.
See, the extex startup script's first line is
if $JAVA_HOME = ,
echo "please set your JAVA_HOME"
That is why I gave the instruction to set JAVA_HOME before running extex.
The fact that it had /usr is purely a coincidence. Anyways, I've to correct

Unfortunately you cannot assume that java is installed. So you need to
include a dependency on java. There are other packages that depend on
java that you can use as an example.

Hi,
I contacted the maintainer of the keychain package regarding an update
to version 2.6.8, and have got no news since 29 September 2009 (2
weeks). Is that timeframe long enough to request that the following
package submission be reopened?

Hi all,
I'd like to ask, if I could get write access to the fink CVS to update/
add my packages without bothering others. I have been submitting fink
packages since 2004, and most did not require much fixing by a fink
developer.

Hello,
I was excited at the update of freetype219 to the version 2.2.1.
Thank you for updating this finkinfo.
However, there is a problem. Some software try to get the GSUB table
through the freetype's module 'otvalid', but this module is not
compiled by default at 2.2.1 (although it is available

Hello,
Thank you for making a new finkinfo of tgif. However, this finkinfo
doesn't handle NLS, so I attached a patch for NLS. Please apply the
patch like this:
$ patch -p0 < tgif-add-nls.patch
This patch modifies "tgif.info" and makes a new file, "tgif.patch".
I tested on 10.3 and 10.4 (both po

Hello.
I tried compiling an open source program on my Mac.
When the flex tried handling its input file, it couldn't understand
these options :
%option bison-bridge
%option %option header-file="resParser_lex.h"
The flex version of the Mac OS X is 2.5.4 and the fink's version is
2.5.4a, which a

Could you consider updating tgif with NLS?
