I believe I have freetype. I chose the default at xfree86 install and I
seem to recall this. Plus I asked apt-get to install freetype and it
says
That seems to be a recurring bug.
1. If you've got freetype-hinting installed, remove it and install
freetype.
2. Rebuild freetype2. 'fink rebuild freetype2'.

Max,
I found the package in unstable and, after installing the updated
openssl, it installed with no problems. The X11 forwarding is working
fine, in both directions. The only issue I had was at the end of the
install you get a typical dpkg message about saving the config files. I

Despite many hours of trying, restarting, deleting, resurrecting, and

wxpython-wxgtk -- to install on my OS X setup. I'm about to simply give
this up as a bad dream.

Did you type 'fink install glib'?

This normally points to an incorrect installation of the developer
tools. Most likely you are using the 10.0.x DT on OS X 10.1.x, which
no that doesn't sound right what are you looking for?

Indeed, and if you want to see it in stable, then you should install
it now and send feedback to
Are you sure there's no error earlier in the build? I get the "multiple
definitions" messages frequently, but usually the package builds anyway.

Even if xchat-1.8.7-2 is in the stable section I can't compile it on my iMac
rev.B 233 Mhz.
Here's the error message I get:

My Fink version shows 2.9.9p2-1. The latest is 3.1p1. It looks like

someone else picked it up? I'm attempting to build it but havent got

If you have freetype-hinting installed, install freetype instead.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I'm using the latest release of the Fink

I've attempted to update a number of packages, singly and in update-all, but
they fail, apparently because of some bad path variable. For example, when
attempting to install lyx, it goes through configure, make, and make
install, only to fail thus:
cp -R /sw/src/root-lyx-1.1.6fix3-3/sw/share/lyx/
