Hi, I'm trying to install Fink and having problems. Can someone please help? When I start I get the message below. Could this be because I'm running 10.1.5? I have all the install requirements. Thanks for the assistance, David Kassa . Writing updated configuration to '/sw/etc/fink.conf'...

It's possible that you are using the ssh client that comes with Mac OS X, which does not have X11 forwarding built into is I'm not entirely sure what that is supposed to mean, but /usr/bin/ssh definitely can forward X11 (OS X 10.1.5, I'm pretty sure at least since 10.1.3). (You may have to use

[Fink-users] libwww and gnome

Has anyone else been having trouble downloading libwww (one of the required libraries for running gnome). When I check the address that fink is trying to d/l from, it dosn't exist. Any help on where I can get the lib and where to put it would be much appreciated. Thanks Tom

When I performed installations from source, if a package required something like imlib, it would depend on the package imlib, which would in turn depend on imlib-bin and imlib-shlibs. In the binary distro, it appears that some packages depend directly on the -bin and -shlibs packages, which

Hey: I've been thinking of installing the postfix package out of unstable, but I had a few questions. First, has anyone tried it, and does it work? Second, postfix's versioning scheme is a bit wacky, so I can't tell if the version on fink is the latest stable version, or whether it's a
