Hello,
Lilypond asks for python*22*. Is it not working with python23? I
already have python23 installed and would like to avoid to
install another version of python -- especially as I am not ready
and able to make my manually installed tetex-beta work as
system-tetex and will have 2 tetex

Here is what I wrote on fink-beginners some 3 weeks ago on this subject:
Yes, this package is broken and has been for quite a while. Did you try
to contact the maintainer? I don't

Did you ask the maintainer? He is very active, but I don't know if he
reads this list.

Is there an issue with the fink Rosegarden package?
I am working on trying to fix the Rosegarden autoconf scripts so that
we can incorporate some extensions, and so there aren't so many
installed libraries. I thought I could work on my G4 powerbook, because
there was a fink rosegarden pacakge.
I finally succeeded to install it doing the following:
First in emacs21-xaw3d.info (Note that I did only for emacs21-xaw3d, but
this should probably be changed in the other packages as well), I replaced

I too had to remove nxml-mode ( and jde ) before being able to
install the latest emacs21-gtk.
xml-node could be reinstalled afterwards, but for jde even that didn't
work...

I just installed emacs21-gtk; I don't know why it worked for me, but I'm
quite relieved it did!
I just checked and found that the typo (%i instead of %p) appears only in
emacs21-xaw3d.info.

Yep, reinstalled X11 SDK, too. I just tried a reinstall (again) and
deleted /Library/Receipts/X11* as suggested with the same results.
I'm also getting the following error when I try to run gftp (ssl
version 2.0.16-1):
$ gftp
dyld: /sw/bin/gftp-gtk version mismatch for library:
Nope, never installed anything other than Apple's X11. Is there any
hope other than wiping the hard drive and starting over? That is *not*
something I would look forward to. :P

This is wrong. .xinitrc is _always_ processed by the sh shell (e.g.
bash), and so you'd need
. /sw/bin/init.sh
instead.
Just a quick feedback about the latest problems:
(1) the latest available versions of KDE and Koffice
installed without further problem.
(2) the latest version of emacs21-xaw3d also installed
(to be sure I just removed nxml-mode before the install and
reinstalled it after).
(3) Apple has posted
